Nagabhushana, a Kannada actor, is currently navigating two paths in his career - one as a lead actor and the other as a character or supporting actor. He emphasizes the importance of showcasing talent to establish oneself in the industry, recalling how he initially took up smaller roles and put his best efforts into them. Reflecting on his journey, he shares, "The success of a film is crucial for growth in this industry. Two films, 'Ikkat' and 'Badava Rascal', played significant roles in propelling my career forward as they were hits. Last year brought further success with three hit films - 'Daredevil Musthafa', 'Kousalya Supraja Rama', and 'Tagaru Palya'. This reinforced my confidence in engaging audiences, whether in a supporting or lead role."
Regarding his approach to comedy, Nagabhushana opts for being seen as an actor who can perform comedy rather than just a comedian. He values adding his personal touch to the characters he portrays, believing it enhances the naturalness of his performances. While he respects directors' preferences for delivering lines verbatim, he also enjoys infusing his style into roles for a more authentic portrayal.I have not worked for the film, neither for myself nor for others. It is crucial to recognize when to take action and when not to. For example, in Badava Rascal, I merely had to be authentic, whereas in Ikkat, I had to incorporate some exaggeration into my acting. Presently, my focus is on my upcoming project, Vidyapati, in which I play the lead role. This is a significant endeavor for me, being a high-budget film with a lot at stake. Although the pressure is immense, I am confident in the story's entertainment value and the surprises it holds. Additionally, I have a supporting role in Anna From Mexico, which allows me to showcase a different aspect of my acting abilities. I am grateful for being busy, even though I have not had a day off in a month. Following my recent wedding, I now have responsibilities at home that remind me to return promptly after work.
